Show 14: Tom Glazer in Concert

Treasure Ivan’s holiday present to his wonderful listeners — a concert by Tom Glazer!

Tom Glazer

Tom Glazer was a pioneer in the field of children’s music. He wrote, recorded, and performed songs for the young and the young at heart. While perhaps best known for his song “On Top of Spaghetti,” Glazer also did a great deal of work for Young People’s Records/Children’s Record Guild, sister companies that produced many of Treasure Ivan’s favorite albums in the 1940s and 50s.

Wishing you peace and joy in the new year.

Show 13: Woody Guthrie Part 2

While Treasure Ivan and his faithful record librarian Polly Parrot prepare to move across country, they’ve decided to feature a two part Wood Guthrie Extravaganza.

Woody GuthrieWoody Guthrie

Woody Guthrie was a great American songwriter. His songs for children, originally created for his own family, remain among the very finest ever written for youngsters. They have inspired generations of musicians, including “Treasure” Ivan Ulz, who recorded a number of Guthrie tunes on his own albums for children.

Enjoy!
